WHAT ARE THE FRET FINGERS?

The fret fingers are the finger tips that press down on the strings in the middle of the fret.

WHAT ARE THE FRETS?

The frets can be found between the short strips of metal fret wire.

The 1st fret can be found to the left of the 1st fret wire.
The 2nd fret can be found to the left of the 2nd fret wire.
The 3rd fret can be found to the left of the 3rd fret wire.
The 4th fret can be found to the left of the 4th fret wire.

HOW ARE THE STRINGS NUMBERED?

The 1st string is the thinnest string.
The 1st string is closest to the floor when you’re playing the guitar.

The 6th string is the thickest string.
The 6th string is closest to your chin when you’re playing the guitar.
